From the initial call to schedule to ringing the bell yesterday, I couldn't have wished for a better experience here. Dr. Chang is very easy to talk with and very kind. The ladies of the treatment room (room 3 was my room) are some of the most exceptional humans on the planet!! The ladies at the front are welcoming and comforting. Just the best; kind, caring, compassionate people with skilled expertise. When my tumor was identified, the first doctor I saw made it sound like I had one treatment option and, if it was successful, would have at the least damaged my vision, at worst induced blindness in one eye. I researched on my own and found the Oklahoma Proton Center. Every person at the OPC was incredibly kind and helpful, help in making travel more affordable , help working out insurance provider, help with my stupid panic attacks. Our experience at this proton cancer treatment center has been deeply disappointing. The front‑desk staff have been wonderful, warm, welcoming, and consistently kind but the overall lack of communication has created unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. We are now over month into this process, and no treatment has begun for my spouse. The coordination between providers has been disorganized, with each side appearing unaware of what the other is doing and shifting blame instead of taking responsibility. We had ... read more
