I feel very satisfied with my care and I know that Dr. John genuinely wants the best for my health. He is thorough when evaluating my problems and I trust his medical decisions. I also appreciate his focus on identifying and reducing my cardiac risks. He answers my questions and I never feel rushed. I am very thankful that he has been my provider for more than 20 years.
Extremely thorough and competent. Often teaches medical students and young doctors. He seems to be able to diagnose and treat almost everything. One stop shop!
Dr. John Okerblom is the best doctor I have ever been to: outstanding. He caught my breast cancer 3 TIMES at Stage 1 with a breast exam after mammograms over 2 years showed nothing and breast exams with my surgeons showed nothing. 3 Stars doesn't reflect his diagnostic expertise, knowledge, and memory.
Dr. John has saved my life on 4 office visits where he found stage 1 breast cancer not showing up on a recent mammogram. Then after the breast surgeon removed it, he found another cancer beneath it. Same thing in the other breast 2 yrs later with one cancer that didn't show up on the Mammogram either. Another time Dr. John said I had appendicitis and to go right into the emergency room. Dr Okerblom is one of the BEST doctors I’ve ever had, so it’s very unfortunate that his staff is so rude and disrespectful! They NEVER call you back and if they do are extremely rude about it! God forbid if you have urgency or need a refill to be called in! Dr okerblom is THE Best, just don’t know how much longer I can handle dealing with his staff??
It's unfortunate that some of his back office staff is incompetent to call back or get the facts right when calling you back.. I self diagnosed myself and demanded to be referred to a surgeon after 1 year of complaining of pain. I have nothing to say now about his front staff. they are amazing and gets things done. But with no call back from back office and been waiting for a refill on meds that I'm not supposed to discontinue use. I'm done!
He is patient, listens and address all your concerns. He genuinely cares for his patients. Sometimes you have to wait to see him, but he is worth the wait!
