they are not good for the whirlpool bath tub. The contractor gave up on the whirlpool tub and insisted that I asking me to replace the motor, even though I had told him that the GFI switch had tripped off during my analysis and the motor kept running. It was just a problem with the air switch, since we couldn't stop motor once plugged in. I didn't agree with the contractor's recommendation to cut the panel underneath and replace it.
