I saw Donna during a rough time in teaching. She was compassionate and listened more than I talked. She offered different approaches to therapy. She helped me immensely!
She was totally inappropriate in her manner of counseling. Though she was good to talk to, she gave her personal info to me and would text appointment reminders etc. which seems harmless but as sessions continued, because too much communication. Future counselors later told me it is bad practice even though that it allowed.to which I agree
At first I thought she was a really nice person and a sympathetic ear to talk to. I had initially made my appointment and found out during the session that she did not take my insurance. I went ahead and made a second appointment and forewarned her that I would probably look for someone else that takes my insurance. I found someone else and called several days before my appointment to cancel.
