No sense of urgency in emergency situations. Their alert system is designed to give customers a false sense of hope that their power will be restored within a reasonable amount of time. The closer it gets to a restoration time, the alert defaults to a new time where hours turn to days. The amount of money customers are charged on a monthly basis compared to the service they receive and the company’s ineptitude is frustrating to say the least. It is apparent they are not qualified for this job.

We've been trying to get this company of incompetent idiots to do something about our lines for 10 years. The power goes out constantly and they pretend to look at something. Then the power goes out 4 days later. Everything in Pennsylvania is run like a communist country. The government is filled with idiots and it effects everything.

Penelec is slow to respond to repair service issues. I am still waiting 4 weeks for a street light repair in front of my house. power to my house and the entire neighborhood has gone off and on around 10 times in the last two weeks.

West Penn Penn Power is the worst customer service by anti e ever they shut your service off with no notification I have severe medical conditions that require my electricity when you call you are put on hold for well over an hour if you want called back to save your place in line they never call back being an amputee who dies not drive I can't go to their office They shut off my service and 2 days after I got it turned on they taped a shut off notice on my door This is total harassment plus tried many times to get on webs... read more

THE STUPID NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM started 6 months ago, has not been able to" find" the checking account i've been using for 15 years. i've wasted 8 hours (so far) having 4 reps and 2 sups. enter the same info. into the same system with no effect--IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE

Was without power 3 1/2 days. Was originally told they would get to me within 4 hrs. Live on a dead-end road 6 families online affected. Four families are senior citizens two of which are on oxygen! We all have well systems for water, when power goes, we cannot flush toilet, drink water etc. The phone system is also connected to electric. It goes when electric goes. Horrible company and fraudulent practices ..bill went from 180 to 600 in 1 month..then the next month 800. I live alone! Criminals !

I would like to know how come I cannot pay my bill online. Their website is different. I use to be able to go to PAY BILL. not anymore. They force you into getting a e bill. AS it looks paying from my bank will cost me 50 cents. Anyone else with this issue?

I recently called in about my account and was transferred a few times, finally ending up with a representative with the name Amanda. The conversation started off well until I was asking more complex questions. She had to put me on hold while she reached out to another representative, when she came back she was a whole different person. She was rude, short tempered and even laughed at me.
