Ohare gets a bad rap but I think it's great. Don't let the size intimidate you. It's easy to find where you need to go.

United is boss here!
Check ahead of time for connections, terminals are far apart, but C17 is roughly where the bridge connects to B8, connections can seriously mess you up
Rude security, badly organized, at least the food is good.
Terminal one has the worst TSA lines. If you have an early morning flights say 5-8am, it sucks! Check in at another terminal, they are all connected and you will get to your designated gate.
Don't fly United if you can help it.
Best city and airport tons of shops and food!
