This law office baited me in by saying that they had to charge a little more for the initial retainer. They requested $4,000. They then proceeded to request $4-5,000 every 2 weeks after that to refill the retainer stating that there was a lot that was getting done. I was desperate to get my divorce case done so I kept paying these fees until it got to 20k and they hadn't even completed the discovery request that was sent. 20k with no court appearance, just most of the discovery being completed. Avoid this law firm at all costs. I hired to draft a 3 page legal document. Charged $2500 retainer then attempted to bill another $5500 over the course of 4 months with zero product delivered. Over 20 emails sent to legal team with no resolve. I eventually decided to call it a loss, and only under threat of small claims case was my account balance settled.
