I came in to Officeworks Taren Point last Sunday and was assisted by a young gentleman named William. He was super sweet and helpful. He should definitely be commended for his amazing customer service.
Nothing in stock. Under staffed. Took an hr to actually be able to buy something due to having to keep going back to look for an “alternative” and rejoining the line. Ended up having to look at paying for an item 3x more than the initial (out of stock) item I wanted. Not sure if it’s just bad luck or bad operation. Staff seem a bit over it. Negatives: - bad stock management Positives: - cheap stuff if it’s in stock. - some staff are courteous and apologetic.
Even though the store was clearly understaffed during my visit, I still received excellent service thanks to Adam. He went out of his way to help me find what I needed and stayed patient the entire time. OfficeWorks is lucky to have someone as dedicated and hardworking as him.
Avoid and go to CARLTON instead. Multiple visits here and different managers offering different levels of service. Manager Jeffrey was as passive aggressive as they come, stuck to policy guidelines of 30 day returns (this is not stated on receipt but stated on the website so he says) Other managers/staff much more effective in the art of customer service and not the robotics of the black and white rule book.
