Officeworks Northlakes’ “Price Match Guarantee” is a complete joke. I tried to buy an Apple (BRAND NEW) MacBook Air 13.6in Space Grey M2 (8C CPU/8C GPU)/16GB/256GB SSD as a birthday gift for my partner and waited over half an hour while staff checked other stores only to be told I would be refused even if I went to another store. I went into Officeworks today to price-match a MacBook with proof of purchase from another Australian website. I even asked the staff to check other stores to see if I could pick it up today, as I had the money ready. Despite this, I was told I was “wasting my time” and that they would not honor the price match. This is extremely disappointing, especially since someone had already purchased the same product at that price, and I provided a photo of the receipt.
