I had a deeply disappointing experience at Officeworks due to the behavior of the manager, Valerie. Her conduct toward me was discriminatory and unprofessional. Instead of treating me with respect and fairness, she made comments and decisions that clearly reflected racial bias. It is unacceptable for a manager—who represents the company and sets the standard for staff—to behave in such a way. Absolutely disgusting experience with the manager Valarie. We literally just walked in to browse and she was immediately rude and racist towards us. When I called her out, she actually tried to excuse it by saying she “can’t be racist because she’s South American.” That’s pathetic and insulting. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, especially from a manager. Never coming back.
