I am extremely disappointed with my experience with the Missouri Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel. I filed two complaints against an attorney Courtney Waits and provided what I believed was clear supporting documentation. In one complaint, I submitted court documents that I believe showed the attorney misrepresented the contents of a court order. It is extremely odd that Laura Elsbury is no longer with OCDC and has simply disappeared from LinkedIn and other online sites. Certain disciplinary actions pursued during Elsbury's tenure as Chief Disciplinary Counsel warrant closer public scrutiny. During her time as Chief Disciplinary Counsel, Elsbury seemed to pursue disciplinary proceedings were disproportionate to the alleged misconduct. This government agency is a complete waste of US tax payers money it should be abolished. I have filed 2 complaints against 2 different lawyers for unethical billing practices and filing claims that they knew to be false along with fraud. They refuse to investigate either even with around 50 pages of evidence. I wish I could give it 0 stars because that is what they deserve.

They don’t do anything when you make the complaint anyway or fire the people and why do you need a degree to just argue and not make a correct decision
