About this business

Oddfellows serves up delicious American fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and they're open late every night of the week. The tables are arranged in a breezy, open space with lots of light. The menu changes often, however some of the inventive dishes you might see include: Brioche French Toast with Mascarpone and fruit, Roast Beet & Chevre Salad, Roasted Free Range Chicken with Savory Bread Pudding and Duck Leg Cassoulet. The bar does best with their list of inventive and affordable cocktails, including the Sriracha Marga... read more

Much improved from my first review – It seems my gripes were heard. (read my original review below) I recently came back to try again and everything was spot on. The service was nice and smooth and the food was much better than last time. The BEST service was from the floor staff..the behind the counter folks were still a bit stiff and bothered..but the people running and working the floor were super helpful and nice. This is welcome news as the decor is amazing and is a really fun place to meet friends and clients. Hopefull... read more

Welcome to the fraternity! – The feel of an old fraternity's cafeteria, Oddfellows can provide a great lunch option or late night drinking spot. In a space that looks like an old warehouse, with fir floors and long communal tables this venue creates a welcoming space for the casual diner and drinker alike. Although a small menu, the selection provide a variety of the well known (Potato Leak Soup, Rotisserie Chicken) and the unique (Buffalo Fried Chicken Livers, Lamb Ragout). The coffee leaves something to be desired and the ... read more

Oddfellows is not odd at all! – I recently visited Oddfellows with a friend of mine with the sole purpose of getting a bite to eat, sipping on a cold libation, and knitting. Yes, knitting. The best part about walking into this wide-open friendly restaurant is that to our left a couple noshed on a fresh hummus platter while playing cribbage while their neighbor to the left sat solo sipping on a cappuccino while surfing the internet. We knew that we'd fit right in. As soon as you walk in you feel like your visiting your best f... read more

AMAZING FOOD, PEOPLE, AND COMMITTMENT TO COMMUNITY – Oddfellows ROCKS!!!! The space is incredible. The staff are fantastic - friendly, attentive, cool. I go there almost daily to work, eat (love the pulled pork and chicken salad sandwich), meet with people and soak in the good vibe. AND Linda and the Oddfellows crew are incredibly philanthropic. Recently they sponsored the Equalityoga event on June 27th. Linda is deeply committed to creating great establishments, creating a cool and welcome vibe in Seattle and ensuring we ar... read more

Great place, blend food – I have tried the specials, such as the tuna sandwich (which had no flavor), the baked eggs were ok, but didn't even come with bread and for $8 it's over-priced - the strata is a joke! It's basically a piece of bread with some cheese on top. I would say, if you want to be on your computer, drink a coffee and have a scone, this is the right place for that- but skip the food, unless they really get it right in the near future.

Linda Derschang created an instant classic with this morning-til-night cafe and bar serving up homey food in a space beautifully ringing of history. – In Short It's a match made in Seattle hipster heaven: club queen Linda Derschang (Smith, King's Hardware, Linda's, Rob Roy) and chef Ericka Burke (Volunteer Park Cafe) have teamed up to gift the Emerald City with this feisty bistro. Turn-of-the-century cafeteria by day, rustic-and-trendy bar by night, it's hard to imagine a Capitol Hill social scene without Oddfellows. With an... read more

i wish it weren't true – I was so excited for Oddfellows to open. Capitol Hill needs establishments with better food and Vol. Park cafe is great. I wasn't expecting much, it's comfort food for the love of all things holy. No matter how many chances I give Oddfellows, the food is no good. The environment, very comfortable but the grub is ghastly. The panzanella salad is always way overdressed and tomatoes are not in season. The pulled pork sandwich is on a bun from Arby's and the meat and coleslaw is bland. The strata is dry ... read more

Stingly with the grub and overated for the buzz – I know the owner has a bunch of bars and cafes that the poser/hipster crowd flock around . I admit I must be one of them since I found myself on a Friday night sitting at a communal table surrounded by loud and annoying strangers. The menu was limited but I chose a $10 shepherds pie. It was bland and overpriced for what it was. I could've bought some Trader Joe's shepherds pie that would've been more staisfying. For $10 they could've have included a small side salad or a frea... read more
