I would've been a prospective client, unfortunately I was not able to make it in the chair. I don't understand how an appointment can be scheduled at noon, and an hour and a half later, I am still waiting to get serviced. I get that stylists can run over into appointments, but it is completely unprofessional when it is over an hour. Had I stayed, I would probably have started 2 maybe even 3 hours after my scheduled time. A client's time should be treated with just as much consideration. I’ve been coming to this salon since I moved to Brooklyn 3 years ago and I could not be happier with the service. I wear my hair naturally and see Jhavuanna a few times a year for blowouts, trims, coloring, and special occasion styles. My hair health is always top priority and I know I’m in good hands with her. Jhavuanna creates a warm and welcoming environment as well.

I’m not usually the type to write reviews, but I went to this salon about a year ago, and I still think about how terribly she did my hair and how I continue to deal with the consequences. I want to warn others. I got a silk press from Jhavuanna Paterson. During the service, she was on the phone with her lawyer the entire time. While cutting my hair, she did not ask me how I wanted it or even let me know she had started cutting. The communication was poor. She was scissor-happy and cut off so much of my hair without warning.... read more
