I’ve had 3 children who have been patients of Dr. O’Connell. Oldest who is on the spectrum aged out. She is the 4th pediatrician we’ve had and the best. (We weren’t impressed with 1st, switched when 2nd child was born. That one moved out of state but we stayed at the practice. Switched when third child was born. My son seen Maura OConnell from birth - 3.5. We've had numerous issues but the most recent is unacceptable. She referred us to get a neuropsychology evaluation at U of M where they diagnosed my son with severe ADHD. Dr. OConnell then put him on Ritalin. She told us to call if we had any issues and we did two days later. She actually went on vacation and didn't bother leaving any notes for the nurse practitioner or anyone else for the 3 year old she just put on a stimulant. No doctor to speak to.
