Last minute, my mother decided to host a reception for 60ppl after my father's funeral service on June 17, 2022. Being from out of town, I had no idea who to contact to run the day of event. I looked up Event Planners on Yelp in OC and saw that OCLA Events receives 5 out of 5 stars. Called them and John was extremely helpful. OCLA Events did a fantastic job to make my daughter's wedding reception magical! Thank you to John for the great communication and support and for providing so many options and suggestions. We are so pleased with the end result!
I first worked with John and OCLA Events for a non-profit gala in 2018. He and his team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable with all aspects of our gala (decor, lighting, sound, visual, etc). Since then, he and his team have helped me with ALL of my events! I know that with their help, my events will turn out classy, successful and fun for my guests. If you’re looking for an event planner who is trustworthy and has amazing tastes for all types of parties, I would 100% recommend OCLA Events.
John of OCLA Events is very rude. It is very hard to make appointments to get a quote with him and he is very disorganized. He then talked badly of our venue and asked why we didn't choose a different one because it is "a better space with better views" a month before our wedding. Very unprofessional.
John , President- Event Producer of OCLA Events, is extremely professional and personable! He organized ceiling and doorway drapery and installed an elegant chandelier at the Dana Point Yacht Club ! The wedding was held on July 3, 2021 and John was accommodating with our Covid delay. His email responses were immediate as in preparation for a wedding this is crucial!
