The nurses are sweet and the surgical team is professional, but whatever idiot up there is writing prescriptions needs to be fired. I got a tonsillectomy, which is a two week recovery and about 10 days of agony and received 100 mL to help of oxycodone. I was instructed to take 5 mL every six hours. I don’t know if they can’t do math up there but that’s 20 mL a day. That’s five days. My son had his surgery here and all the staff were very friendly and professional, everything was excellent.
AMAZING staff and care. was super nervous for my child’s procedure and they were so caring, thoughtful and kind to not only my child, but to us as well. Definitely recommend especially if you’re a nervous momma like me.

Review your bill carefully! Upcharging and upcoding is proving impossible to correct. Our surgery was canceled by the medical team, but the surgery center continues to send us a bill for the procedure as if it occurred as planned. (Even though the surgeon did not submit a bill for it.) What a nightmare. After 6 months of calling to try to correct this with Ochsner directly, I’ve resorted to filing an insurance fraud complaint.
