Oschner ordered the wrong tests. And has refused to refund me or give me the testing my doctor originally ordered. In fact they sent me a bill for MORE money. For zero care. America's healthcare system is atrocious.
The worst. My neurologist told me I could have brain surgery after Dr Ramsey told me I couldn’t. My neurologist said Dr. Ramsey changed his mind so my then neurologist ran me through all brain surgery test. Only to leave and send me to Dr. Robin who made me wait 6 months to tell me I was never a candidate for brain surgery and proceeded to tell me my seizures were PNES even though they are always caught on a EEG. The neurology department is atrocious. I had been progressively having issues standing and walking for months before seeing a PA here. It would have been even longer to see an actual neurologist even though it was an ER visit that had referred me. Against my gut, I settled with a PA that ended up being one of the most incompetent medical providers I have ever met. I got nothing but excuses, repeated tests, and months wasted with no diagnosis. I had a family member in the Neuro ICU at this hospital and I can not speak more highly of the care team we had during our visit. They were kind to patient and family alike. It was the best care we have every had and the most warmth we have ever experienced at an inpatient service. Thank you to the wonderful team there for everything that you do! You had an amazing impact on our family during a very trying time on our lives.
They would not let me have an appointment with a physician (only nurse and a fellow) and applied a one size fits all approach including a recommendation of unnecessary exploratory surgery. I said no thank you and sought my care elsewhere. I doubt a physician ever even looked at my scans at Ochsner since others indicated to me that my arterial dissection was evident almost without question in the scans and exploratory surgery to determine this was unnecessary, It’s a shame that the fellows in their program are learning this a... read more
