Got in a car wreck and suffered from a concussion and neck/back pains. Waited in the wait room for several hours watching people come and go. They brought me in to sit next to a wall for several more hours. Took 10 minutes for a cat scan, then I was waiting for another hour and a half for just the report. In total I was there for around 6 hours. Everyone there was blunt with no hospitality, a few were rude. Got a call from their concussion rehabilitation center today and that lady was rude too! Went to the ER for severe back pain, got me in relatively quickly after a small mix up, Dr. Harryman listened to what I was saying and I ended up having an infection. Only real complaint is the ER so far away from parking, had to drive myself there.
Most inhumane ER I’ve ever seen in my life. They line people up in the hallways for HOURS before putting them into a room, it’s like something you’d see in a movie or during a hurricane. However, this is a normal.occurrence at this ER. This is the case for elderly patients with heart conditions taken by ambulance! It should be investigated.
I had a horrible experience at main campus ED after a bad car accident Friday. There was only one person, my triage nurse, who was actually kind and cared. Both my doctors were abrupt, irritable and condescending. My nurses never told me their names. They were both rude and dismissive and at one point I sat in my own pee for 45 minutes because no one would answer the nurse call button.
