Fun for the whole family!
First off it’s a lot of dirty work and what you pay to mine for gemstones you will never come close to finding enough gems in their pile. Also you never see them bring out a fresh pile to mine through so who knows if it’s already been mined though. My opinion is to save your money and go out to dinner instead.
Really fun experience with the family! Chris and his team were great. Collected lots of treasures!
I had a wonderful day digging in the tailings at the Pala Chief dig. First I would like to thank Lauren for her great patience in answering all my questions before I arrived. Our Thursday dig was cancelled due to extreme weather and they reached early to let us know. Luckily the Sunday dig was still on. Steve and Sean were so helpful in pointing out all the areas of the mine and teaching us about its history.
