I managed to get in and out of urgent care in 2 hours. That doesn't happen at NRGH. The triage nurse was very nice, but the lady at admitting was not. She seemed annoyed that I couldn't hear her through the glass. She seemed annoyed in general. The doctor was nice also.
excellent staff i was super sick i was taken in right away checked and in ambulance to nanaimo hospital, but the nurses & doctors are absolutely amazing!!!
This is a growing concern with the current healthcare system in the Oceanside region. It has come to the community’s attention that there is currently only one doctor assigned to serve the entire area. Given the size and needs of our population, this level of coverage is deeply insufficient. My wife and I have both been once as well do not have a family physician. The wait time was reasonable and the doctors were fabulous. We are fortunate to have this facility.
They don't even answer the phone. I guess I'll just take my own appendix out, then? Oct. 6th, 2025.
