I have severe PTSD. I came because I needed help- only to leave 20 minutes later feeling re-traumatized. They asked for my service animals "License". I explained that they were not allowed to do that, yet 2 front desk women AND the therapist I was coming to see, kept arguing that their company policy supersedes a Federal Law. After this argument, THEN front desks wants all my service animals shot records. I really don’t have enough words and adjectives to describe how grateful I am for Anne and all the staff here! We came in at a pretty desperate time and for the first time in a long time I feel reprieve and hope. The work Anne is doing with my son invaluable. I would not recommend this place because of the receptionist and forgetfulness of the therapist. I’ve been waiting three weeks for resources that the therapist came up with but keeps forgetting to tell the social worker, to have them call me! The receptionist is VERY rude, lazy, incompetent and needs to be receiving severe mental health help ASAP, so she’s not so angry at life. Oceanside Family Counsling Center has been a life saver for my mental health, which in turn, helps me manage my overall health, physically, mentally, and emotionally. When you walk in the door it's always a pleasure and positive experience upon check in. The 3 wonderful, knowledgeable ladies, Cecilia, Veronica, and Melanie are friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
