Do NOT get aligners if your kid has a gummy smile. I had a gummy smile, and it was fixed with braces and night gear. My kid has a gummy smile, and I was told it didn’t matter if she got aligners or braces. After two years, she is all gums when she smiles, and they told me she would need surgery to fix it. Now, I can’t get braces for her because she had the aligners. They won’t even talk to me without charging $500. Wishing we got braces!
