An absolutely horrible place that left me with trauma that I had to process through. I was admitted there in 2023 but I’m not going to let y’all slide on this one. I went to the emergency room at lallie kemp hoping to get SLEEP MEDICATION after experiencing months of insomnia and a few nights of getting 0-3 hours of sleep. If I could give this place no stars, I would. I was held here against my will during Mardi Gras and refused to take the medicine they prescribed me. For the simple fact that I have been prescribed depakote and risperidol in the past and I do not react well to antipsychotics. The nurses constantly berated me and treated me like I had no idea what I was talking about when it came to my personal mental health history. IF I COULD ABSOLUTELY GIVE NO STARS I WOULD! I MYSELF WAS ABUSED & MISHANDLED THERE AFTER BEING FOUND COMING OUT OF A POST SEIZURE STATE THAT ONLY TAKES 2-3 DAYS TO BOUNCE BACK FROM & WITH MY OWN TWO GOD GIVEN EYES WITNESSED THE ABUSE BY WORKERS THERE TO BOTH DEFENSELESS ELDERLY PATIENTS & OTHERS !! Oceans is the worst mental health place. No wonder our mental health is horrible! I had 2 appointments and didn't see anyone due to the fact the dr was a no show and the receptionist is claiming to be the office manager seems to be lost and had a hangover from Mardi Gras 😡
