We took my son to Oceans in October of 2025 and waited for almost an hour, only to find out that there was no one to do an intake. We were sent home (during a mental health emergency) and told that we would receive a phone call in the next 2 days. We went to Sunrise Canyon (Star Care) instead because it was an emergency, and we NEVER received a phone call from Oceans.
This was a hard rating ..just FYI... you will Get NOOO Info on your loved one the first day!(24hrs) So don't freak out! But the next day start calling first thing in the morning!! And ask away! The day he was first admitted I seriously called 10-13 times never even could get through to the one in Lubbock! Terrible I mean surely they have to have a receptionist right ...even AI- heck! When I finally got through after 24hrs I was able to find out about visiting hours! But seriously why can't any of this be put on the website!!... read more

Person oriented to place and time not accepted as a voluntary walk in. No MMSE completed. Oceans requiring an EDO. Police contacted for EDO, assessment completed and client advised she is oriented and is able to sign in voluntarily.
