Caveat Emptor (Buyer beware!) - Property owner is unscrupulous in their business practises! Take care when booking! They use "Free cancellation" terms to list their property on Travel sites but then renege on booking site policies by subsequently charging you a fee! The property owner claimed bank charges but did not incur any - Yes, I did check with my bank and even after pointing this out to the property owner, they still charged me a cancellation fee! The Dunes villa was charming country style and welcoming. It was very clean, good parking, ample kitchenware. Would have liked a sandwich press. Appreciated the space in all the rooms. The double bed upstairs was sagging in the middle and hard, it needs replacing with a better quality matress. If mattress was upgraded, I would give it a luxury status. Loved using the swim spa. Hosts were difficult to contact at times but got through eventually. Enjoyed watching the bird life outside.

We had a lovely stay at this perfect cottage. I had a great experience contacting the owner and booking. The cottage was well appointed, clean and such a nice quiet location a little outside of the quaint town of Port Fairy but a nice walk to the main street and to East Beach. I would definitely stay here again and have already saved it to my fav’s in Google!

We had a lovely time staying at The Dunes. The villa was very clean, with many small things that a lot of places don't think to provide. The detail is fabulous - right down to the lovely room deodorising sprays, hand wash and soaps, fresh clean towels in the spa, warm, clean and comfortable bedding and everything you may need in the kitchen. A short drive to the town with markets, great boutique shopping and we even picked up a locally made painting at an art display. We will definitely return for another stay. Thank you.

Booking with three generations can be tricky but The Sails are a great option as my Father was able to have a seperate downstairs room, my twins had a room and I had a room all to myself. The beds are extremely comfortable and we actually emailed to find out what brand of mattresses they were. Best nights sleep in ages. The location is peaceful and great for young children as the play area is safe and fun. The inside spa bath is lovely after a long drive. The cooking is electric which isn't my favourite but was fine for cook... read more
