I'd like to back up to our first appointment here, a simple wellness check. I'm extremely unhappy with the events that have transpired since. We had both dogs get their anal glands expelled while we were there as well as updates on all their shots. This was Jan 19th. About a week goes and we notice otis was seeming to have issues again with his anal glands. I call because they seemed infected and hes had an infection before years ago. I would NEVER recommend this vet. During Covid, we have been at Ocean Isle helping my 97 year old father in law and we have a 14 year old black lab than requires medication and monthly injections. We had meds refilled a couple of times and also our dog had his injection by Dr. Anderson this summer and we had a good experience. HOWEVER, our recent trip in September I needed meds refilled and my vet at home sent the prescription on a Wednesday morning. My husband went that afternoon to pick up the meds. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND I have been waiting for the “right time” to post this, but I don’t really know what I’m waiting for. Do not take your animals to Ocean Isle Veterinary Hospital (OIVH) if you want them in good hands. On August 30th of this year, my cat Jax started showing signs of a UTI, so we called the vet, and they said it sounded like a UTI.
