Wonderful place My husband and I stayed at the Ocean Holiday Motel over this past weekend during the "Where the boys are" beach party...we both thought it was a wonderful place. Yes it's an older motel, but has character, and the free parking was a bonus...We stayed on the forth floor in a beautiful room with an ocean view...The room was much bigger then I anticipated...kitchenette, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, dining table and chairs, vanity and a walk in closet with hangers provided. Ocean Holiday Motel: Poor Service - Ripoff We had reservations in advance, but when we arrived no one was there to let us in. A lady who didn't speak any English finally called the manager, who took 30 minutes to drive to the place to let us in. He gave me keys to a room that was occupied, so I had to stay with a colleague because he was already gone by the time this was figured out. Old, But Not Too Bad My husband and I stayed there not too long ago just to get away for a day even though we live not too far away. . It has typical "beach" decor, but it is old inside and needs some work. The rooms are small, but comfortable and the staff is friendly. There are good restaurants and activities in the area, and we did not spend a lot of time in the room, anyway, for it to matter that we were not in a palace. Ocean Holiday Motel ~ Avoid This One I had been driving for days and was just at that brain dead point. I was looking for somewhere affordable to stay a few days to get my bearings and decide what to do next when I spied a sign along A1A that promised really cheap rooms right there on the beach. I ended up with a room for the week at the Ocean Holiday Motel for $280 plus tax. You really cant beat $40 a night right on the beach, right? You get what you pay for.
