Staten Island spot that's two parks in one. Athletic complex is legit—indoor track, field events, actually nice facilities. Membership gets you into all the city rec centers. The natural side is totally different—trails through wetlands and grasslands, views of the Verrazano, wild turkeys and deer if you're lucky. Ticks are no joke though, check yourself after. Right by the boardwalk and beach. Good mix of serious sports and just wandering around.
Nice area, was there for a track meet!
