Our unit was scheduled for a routine check by another company about 2-3 months ago. I was told I need new capacitor, new contactor, and the compressor may go bad soon, and it will be about $3000 plus, (it is the old style?) and the system is 10 years old or more, we may as well replace it, for around $14,000. Then later on there was not enough cold air from the vent to cool the house sufficiently. I'd like to give a huge shout out to the owner Charles for creating his company with integrity in mind and proving it by the totally honest service Brian gave my dear friends at their OC house last week. The back-story is: another local company's "tech" came out and condemned the compressor in one of their 2 systems. I have always been happy with service from Ocean Breeze; especially when they replaced my old HVAC system with a new one last year.
I have to remark how wonderful my interactions were (and always are) with RYAN who answered a service call to my condo today. I hope he never changes and I hope people will always be kind to him. He is a rare find. He let me tag along on top of the roof and showed me every little detail on my unit.
