Went with friends for their Thanksgiving Day Buffet. The place was beautiful, the staff were superb and the food was excellent. They told me this was the first year they decided to do a buffet style Thanksgiving meal. They had 3 seatings and we chose the 2 pm time. I’m a Myrtle Beach local so I didn’t stay at their Ellie Beach Resort Hotel but it is beautiful and new. Great family place and both the restaurant and hotel are oceanfront. Weird experience: I’m a solo traveler on thanksgiving. They have a thanksgiving buffet setup in the lobby with availability to reserve a spot at 5pm. I try to reserve, but I can reserve/prepay for 2, but it doesn’t allow me to do so for 1. Since I cannot reserve, it says I should be able to walk in. I go to walk in and am told I have to sit inside the restaurant (and take up a four top). I suggest that I should just sit at the hotel lobby bar with TV’s; win-win, I get to watch TV and eat by myself, they don’t have to use a f... read more
