Ocean Auto Repair is new to Nags Head and the Outer Banks, but not new to auto repair. The owner has been in the automotive industry for over 45 years. Our service manager Jason Vinson is an ASE Master Tech and GM certified Master Tech. Our other tech's have a wide variety experience, so you are getting the best experience possible. We are a NAPA Auto Care Center, so qualifying repairs are covered by the NAPA Nationwide warranty for 24 months or 24000 miles. We look forward to your business.

I am forever grateful to the crew over at Ocean Auto. I was on the road with this 1978 VW Bus and the steering coupler broke. They were able to squeeze me in to what seemed like a busy day and get super creative about how to fix the problem without the original piece. The work was fast, thorough, and successful! I sincerely can’t recommend them enough! As a bonus, they’re just all around nice people and fair/honest with pricing.
Had a flat tire and stopped by Ocean Auto Repair—what a great decision! Tom, the mechanic, was professional, quick, and super friendly. He had me back on the road in no time, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find a shop that’s this honest and efficient. Not a good experience, and this from a returning customer. I scheduled diagnostic work a week in advance to reduce downtime. Turns out on the day-of I'm informed they can't actually do the diagnostic work because they don't have OBD II testing gear. They knew the age of the vehicle in advance and that it needed diagnostic work, yet they went ahead and made the appointment anyway. This was very unprofessional and a complete waste of everyone's time. You can do better...
Took vehicle there for a brake issue after meinke tried to rip me a new one. They were very nice, found the issue and got me back on the road I no time for a very reasonableprice. . I highly recommend!
I will only ever bring my cars and trucks to Ocean Auto. Tom's knowledge, HONESTY, and communication is unmatched. Trust me, your in good hands here.
