My experience with OCCU has been a nightmare. It's been the worst experience I have ever had with any credit union and I urge individuals to pick a different credit union/lender. They absolutely do not care about you and have issues with communicating properly within their own department. I have an auto loan with OCCU. Due to life circumstances, my income went down by 60% a month. I had originally inquired about a voluntary repo. When I got my first car, the only bank willing to give me a loan was OCCU. I was so grateful. But because of how OCCU operates, I wish I could go back in time and prevent myself from getting a car. Their payment system is beyond messed up. Through their online payment system, I can't even see the balance on my loan. Which is incredibly frustrating. This is the absolute worst bank I could ever imagine. It is literally my worst nightmare! My husband got an Auto loan and they scammed us with some sort of fake insurance. We paid $140 a month for a car insurance And then when we decided to switch to A different insurance they tacked on $10,000 to our loan. Yes… $10,000! How is that even legal?!! They give zero cares.
