The place is basic but clean. The food is just ok to me.
Was really looking forward to a great experience. Sadly, the service was poor. The food was extremely terrible and cold. Cornbread was hard and disgusting, yams, green beans, and the list goes on. Not long after I left, my friend started to feel sick. Cheap methods and ingredients appeared to be used to get by. Not the feeling of down home. The food was excellent.
I wouldn't call this place a hidden gem only because so many people were there dining. But if you are not from the area follow the delicious aroma coming from the restaurant and you won't be disappointed. Service was excellent, kind and polite. Food was hot, fresh and plentiful. Im sure there are different items on the buffet daily so call ahead or check their website for daily updates.
Occassions is great. But I live out of town. Just wish there was a closer location for me.
