My wife and I had a home inspection completed on our home. The home inspector called out some horizontal cracks within the stem walls of the raised foundation area as our home is on a split level. We had a couple of foundation repair companies come out and assess the situation. To our surprise, the individuals that come out to assess the damage aren't engineers and the results from these individuals were anything from do nothing at all to applying carbon fiber strips.
