if youre in the neighborhood already This is a good serviceable bakery but nothing super special here. I like the Irish soda bread and the sticky rolls and the cake doughnuts. But the parking is such a pain that i dont even think of going there much. There are plenty of similar places with easier parking.
They're back!! O'Brien's has been a favorite of mine for years. The people who run the bakery are passionate about what they do and desire to please the customer. It has a small shop/personal feel, with delicious pastries. I especially love their cookies, cakes, and irish soda bread. I strongly recommend them for birthdays as they will work to accomodate your needs. Also, for their pies around the holidays. Very happy to see them back in business!
Forgot my order and evidently can't do math.... not good. I ordered a cake and some desserts for my daughter's christening party and went to the bakery to pre-pay for the order because I was going to have my sister-in-law pick up the cake, etc. I didn't want her to have to deal with paying for the order seeing she was being so nice helping us out by picking up the cake. Good neighborhood bakery When I want "comfort" bakery food, I stop by O'Brien's. Their birthday cakes remind me of the cakes I had when I was a kid, with sugary icing. They have good Irish soda bread. I really like O'Brien's; I wouldn't go there for a wedding cake, but I definitely would for a birthday cake. The parking is awful, but that's Wollaston!

O'Brien's The owners also own Thirsty's. I had worked for Thirsty's for 2 and a half years. They pay you 7 dollars an hour and treat you like crap. There products are over priced and they are rude. They barely schedule you on most weeks and i was the ASST manager. So many people have quit because of the way they were treated. I would not go to them at all. Very Poor Service and Very Poor Manners!
Not too bad Good cake, but nothing special. Service was quick and polite. Parking can be a problem in Wollaston. Plus, traffic can be a pain during rush hour. Not sure the cake is worth the hassle.
