This place is like a fantasy land for garden lovers. Our visit today featured daylilly day. John has over 600 varieties, but that's nothing compared to over 2000 varieties of hosta. We were there looking for ideas for a unique tree for a client's project. John is the most personable and knowledgeable guy you would ever want to meet. You could easily spent hours and hours here and not see a fraction of what gems he has to offer.
A must stop! Amazing property, welcoming, eye-catching beauty everywhere you look, plush, colorful, extremely well-kept, and the owner is very friendly. Lots for sale as well. I spent well over an hour simply exploring the trails. There's a body of water with foot bridges, chairs for breaks and taking in the views. I will be back!
My experiance with John O'Brien was not good. I picked out a tree last year, and he said his tractor was not running and would deliver it when the tree, a hoop pine. He didn't get back to me and ended selling it to someone else. He sold me a Asian fir which had a bare section for seven hundred dollars. When I talked to him about it he told me to tie the branhes together to hide the bare section. Then I gave him a deposit on a Large Hoop Pine, a $500 dollar deposit on a $2100 dollar purchase.
