Not the practice it once was. Unhelpful, unknowledgeable and uncaring reception. Contradicting "rules" regarding appointments. A 30+ year relationship ruined.
What in the world happened to this office??? I had been a patient for a few years and really liked it. There was clear communication, I felt cared for and my concerns were listened to and questions answered thoroughly. They used the Yale patient portal so I could view results. Unfortunately, my mother passed around the time I was supposed to go back for a yearly visit and due to that plus other things going on I didn't make another appointment for a few years. During my annual check up, after updating the doctor of the past 3 years of infertility and our struggle to conceive along with failed rounds of IVF and IUI, as well as maxing out our infertility benefits and paying $30,000 out of pocket, the provider says to me "Well I'm not sure what to tell you other than have you tried visiting a psychic?" I made an appointment in Jan for concerns of a uti, but was told everything came back normal and I didn’t require antibiotics. I returned in Feb with the same, and worsening, symptoms. The doctor told me my urine was sterile and there shouldn’t be anything wrong with me, and to switch to a sensitive laundry detergent. Due to the lack of further investigation into my symptoms and concerns, I ended up in the ER with a uti and pelvic inflammatory disease.
