I had a major water leak from January’s freeze. I went through my insurance for a contractor for reconstruction of a study and 2 bathrooms in May. The owner James shows up to collect my deductible in May and assured me I would be in good hands. I haven’t seen him since. We hired Oates Restoration to paint our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, remove carpet and put down tile from 5 bedrooms and 6 closets. To date the project is still not complete. The cabinets have been painted 3 different times due to not being properly prepped the first time. They seem to have fixed that so far. They grouted the entire house with the wrong color grout, we chose a shade of gray and it has come out white. Their solution was to stain the grout the proper color which we were willing to try. We got their info from our insurance company and they came out and did an inspection multiple days. Last thing we heard was they were sending the estimate over to insurance and that was two weeks ago. I, my father and the insurance company have tried contacting them numerous times to no avail. They just ghosted us while we have an active leaking roof. Since they didn’t contact us back and it’s been like this for weeks, we even have more damage.
