We are very happy about our experience at Oasis. It gave our son a re-set from self harm and suicidal ideation. The staff are awesome. Cristell is an amazing therapist and our son developed great relationships with so many of the staff. They do lots of recreational activities like hiking, going to the rec center, trampoline parks, ice skating, etc. There is a great weight room downstairs, a large basketball court, etc. They even bought a lacrosse net since our son and another kid liked playing. I went here back in October and I can say my experience was absolutely horrible. First of all, a male staff member purposefully put eggs in my face knowing I didn't like them. Also the holds they did were very painful and they would just hold you till you calmed down they didn't offer you calming things or stuff to help calm you down, no, they just got up in your face while they held you down. Very accomdating nd help some flaws but every place has them
We found oasis after what felt like a never ending nightmare of treatment centers for my daughter. I have to admit, I had little hope for oasis/my daughter making a turn around with her depression, Suicidal ideation, and PTSD. When we first met with Oasis, they heard our concerns, how we plan to parent our daughter based on beliefs and experiences. They also heard my daughters side of life and how she wanted to live.
