This place is not the place to send your kid to if they are struggling with anxiety/depression. ONLY SEND YOUR KID HERE IF THEY HAVE SEVERE BEHAVIORALISSUES. I was bullied day in and out by other clients (I received verbal bullying and many threats to be physicallyharmed) and the staff didn't seem to care too much about that. On the page on google maps, it says OASIS is LGBTQIA+ friendly. THIS PLACE IS UNSAFE EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY FOR PEOPLE IN THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY.
Cristell was amazing; just the perfect combination of compassion and reality that our son needed. We are so grateful for the work she did with him and the help she offered our family to make a smooth transition back home. When no where else would admit our son, Oasis was a life-saver.
Sure, it was a wake up call to me, leading me to realize that the way I was living wasn't sustainable, but the way I was treated here was unacceptable. Daily I was being bullied by other clients, while staff made minimal efforts to stop the bullying. For two and a half months, every day, I felt like I was living in hell. Many of the other clients come from juvie to here, which means your kid who is struggling with mental health issues will be surrounded by criminally minded people.
Oasis Ascent is THE GOATED residential treatment center, it really really helped me with my struggles and the staff were very supportive and friendly. If I had to go back, I honestly wouldn’t be that mad (I wouldn’t love it 😅) but I know that it would change my life again. If it weren’t for Oasis, I’d most definitely be in a not great place. I really think that it would benefit anyone that goes there. I just wish I were able to have graduated from there, but it just wasn’t meant to happen I guess. Thank you to everyone that... read more
