Spent 1 night for my birthday. Drove 3 hrs to get here. They gave us an ada room which I didn't book?? Was excited to have a view of the lake but unfortunately our windows were awful. From inside and outside you could see it had permanent streaks on the pane. The toilet paper roll fell on the floor when I tried to pull out the paper. It's missing the spring. Shower head wouldn't stay up on the rail. Couldn't regulate the temp. Had air on because it was warm in the room and it wouldn't go below 72°, no ceiling fans. Food on f... read more
Wedding Review: Beautiful day, but planning was a struggle Our wedding day at Oakwood was truly beautiful. The food was excellent, and the day-of logistics were executed smoothly. We stood here for our honeymoon. Our room was clean and spacious. We loved the restaurant (the Pier), the lake view, breakfast however the adjoined rooms were not so great. You hear everything happening next door and down the hall. A special thank you do the staff ( Cole) who were all so nice and accommodating. Thank you so much Oakwood Resort!
Great place on Lake Wawasee, all year round!! Much needed update... I have stayed in numerous rooms and cottages belonging to The Oakwood over the past 5 years since my initial review... The rooms need some serious attention. They smell bad first off. All of the beds are broken, like you fall into the center of the bed broken... you come to the lake to relax, but when u sleep horribly in an overpriced room/cottage with tape on the blinds, no curtains on the windows that matter, like the sleeping rooms. Had a great room stay for our anniversary. Coming back again 2nd time this summer. Everyone was very kind and cordial. Great Sundays. Always inspiring.
