No breakfast was served Room was not cleaned very well Mold and dirty vents Posted awards for Bed and Breakfast were from 2015 - Bed and Breakfast has not been kept up very well. Needs to be updated. No off street parking available - owner was parked in driveway

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and it was simply wonderful. Mr. Russell (the owner) makes you feel like you are a part of his family, and takes care of everything you need. The breakfast each day was filling and fueled our journey around the city. The next time we find ourselves in New Orleans, we will definitely be coming back to Oakview!

This is a very old house, so there are some quirks and minor issues, but overall we had a very good stay. Pros: the aesthetics, homemade breakfast included, drinks included, location, possibly haunted 🙂 Cons: a lot of stairs, some of them very steep; our shower was working and fine but could not be used as a tub I would stay here again, although personally I would ask for the room on the main level because those stairs were killer for me.

I enjoyed my stay at the Oakview Bed and Breakfast. Russell is a wonderful host. He's very friendly and pointed me in the direction of the best snowballs I've ever had! The B&B was in the perfect location, right by City Park, Café Du Monde, the art museum, Pandora's Snowballs, and the trolley. So it was easy to travel to and from the French Quarters. The house is beautiful with lots of old treasures inside and the room was clean.
