The only concern of Oaks of Willow Hill, is making sure you pay your rent… on time ! They’ve also changed their policy, so nothing is included in the rent, and you’re now billed for water not based on your actual usage, but the entire building, divided by the number of tenants. Currently, my water bill for a 3 bedroom apartment, runs me about $110 monthly, which is more than my electricity, gas, and sewer combined, when I previously was paying around $35 a month. I’ve lived at Willow Hill since 2018 because it kept my children in their school district and, frankly, moving is expensive and not easy for a family. Until recently, parking was never an issue and there has always been plenty of space. However, under new ownership, management hired Contract Parking Solutions with Towing, and residents are now being charged simply to park in the lot. If i could give a negative star I would!! The property is poorly managed and poorly maintained! The photos on the website are NOTHING like the reality of this property. Several buildings have caught fire due to outdated electrical systems, the pipes continuously bust or back up under the buildings causing flooding in the apartments, the pest management is a reoccurring issue, the bandaid fixes have left results of mold in the walls and flooring, the comes in and out at will, the hallway carpet hasn’t been changed or cleaned ... read more
Willow Hill Apartments has become increasingly unreasonable and hostile to residents and their real life needs. I babysit overnight for a tenant here who works overnight shifts at the post office just to make ends meet. I was recently informed that starting March 1st, she will not only have to pay for me to park overnight, but that overnight guests may only be allowed to park for a few consecutive days per month or risk being towed. if your everyday vehicle is not registered in Illinois under the name of the leaseholder here, you cannot park your car here. DO NOT rent here if your car is registered in Illinois under someone that is not on your lease, so if you're a parent that doesn't live in the home and you bought a car for your teen, or college aged child living here with the other parent, or youre using a family member's car, then DO NOT rent here.
