We have experienced bait-and-switch tactics. Not even a full day after the move, we were told that they were moving our loved one to Memory Care due to her care needs. We were told that there would be more attentive care, but the unit in Memory Care has been inhospitable and is contributing to an even more rapid decline in our loved one. We loved our experience at Oakmont and are so grateful for their highest quality service, location, and care. Our mom was not able to move there from her apartment across town until her last month of life, which we did not know at the time. She loved Alameda, and she loved her apartment and time at Oakmont, however brief. She adored the views from her window, the stellar views from the dining and activity rooms, and the entire five star facility. The staff were amazing and deserve our highest praise.
