I saw Dr. Paul Aschmetat, D.O. at Oaklawn Medical Group who recommended a total reverse shoulder replacement due to the extent of the injury to my shoulder. I asked him how long the rehab recovery would take from this surgery, and was told by him that it would take 3-4 months at the most. Sadly, I was told at my two month follow up appointment with his P.A. Jennifer Stansell that my recovery would take significantly longer, 9-12 months at the very minimum.
