This week I assisted my friend to have her husband discharged from this rehab and nursing home, Oaklawn Rehabilitation. When we arrived, he was sitting in urine which had been there for hours. He asked me to hand him a urinal as it was located out of his reach as was his call light. The materials beneath him were soaked and smelled. He has lost significant weight since arriving to the rehab after open heart surgery (>30 lbs). During visits to the rehab, not one staff entered the room during the 3-4 hours we were there. I am being sued by Oaklawn because my father died before I could pay his bill.
This is a wonderful community of delightful residents and caring staff. When my mom moves here, I know she will enjoy life at Elmcroft.
