I had one of the worst experiences at Akumin Oakland Park Blvd Suite 105. I arrived at 9:50 AM for my 10:00 appointment, paid my copay, and was told they needed to change the type of machine for my test, which I agreed to. By 12:30 PM I still hadn’t been seen. When I asked for an update, the staff member said there were two patients ahead of me with tests lasting 45 and 30 minutes. I went to Akumin in Oakland Park for a cat-scan. The technician who did my cat-scan was very nice, kind, cordial and offered answers to my questions. The front office is the reason for the negative review. They seem to be completely indifferent, checked out and anxious to do their time and get out ASAP. They were supposed to send the radiology report to my doctor who prescribed the cat-scan. My follow appointment was 4-5 days after cat-scan. They said the report would be sent out in 2 days or less. One of the techs making negative faces behind a patients back. So disrespectful, they skipped me and called some one who signed in after me, I asked why our if there is a different process for calling names, the girl didn't know.
So far, my experience with this place has been very poor. I had to call to schedule an appointment and they had me on the phone for 38 minutes asking for as many personal details as they could think of. In the age of AI, this is really unfathomable. Additionally, they are calling me on my phone since yesterday. They called at least four times, and as soon as the phone rings they hang up. Walked in and was greeted with a welcome and a smile. Waited 15min, test was 15min. ✔️had another appointment to there at 6:45am. They didn't open door till 6:50. Then having trouble with conputer as the very nasty girl barking orders. If I can I will find another place to have an xray
