This is my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, and Erica and Jim have truly set the standard so high that I don’t believe it can be topped. The cottage itself is beyond beautiful and in a great location, but what steals the show is their amazing personalities, hospitality, and skills in the kitchen. What a truly special stay! The Rose Room was pure charm—those beautiful toile walls, the cozy antique touches, and the soft natural light made it feel like a little storybook retreat. Erica and Jim at Oakland Cottage were the loveliest hosts; their care and hospitality shone through in every detail. We only had one night, but it left us feeling so welcomed and rested. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Staying at a historic Bed and Breakfast comes with quirks of an old house. We love a place with character where everything doesn't have to be "perfect". It was a great location for quickly getting to places we wanted to see in Asheville. The breakfast we had each morning was wonderful. Conversation with the owner was nice and informative.
