My parents had a very unsafe discharge after being at Redwood Healthcare in Oakland for 4.5 months. They lied to my parents about where they were going to be discharged and left them with no help, no home healthcare, on and on. In the beginning Bea the Marketing Agent lied to me about RHC- she told me the facility was being remolded , that it had central air conditioning, and lots of other things. On Thursday evening my son was transported to Redwood health from St. Mary’s Hospital. he was brought there to finish out his antibiotics and to receive physical therapy. The transporter forgot to get his medical papers and had to turn around and go back to the hospital to get them and then he wasn’t happy about going to Oakland and wanted to drop him off at train station, but he proceeded to the home. Do not send your loved one here! Social Worker is non responsive. Leadership plays games that they didn’t know Drs orders and therefore do not provide PT or OT at the correct intervals. Patients walk in out of your room due to their own cognitions. Management sucks- do not go to this facility!!!!!!!!!
