I recently had a great intake experience with this company and finally felt like I was going to get the help I need. We did everything over text and phone, they asked thorough questions, and I successfully set up an appointment before the weekend. I had a very disappointing experience with the office manager, Sherry. While I was trying to explain my situation, she hung up the phone while I was still speaking, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. During the call she mentioned she has worked at the office for 20 years, which makes the lack of basic courtesy even more surprising. I was calling to reschedule my appointment due to a family death! We were introduced to this counselling service a couple of years ago, and it has truly been a positive experience for our family. We have attended sessions both together and individually, and each time we felt genuinely supported. Greg is incredibly professional, but also warm and approachable. Called the one 800 number and the receptionist doesn’t know how to listen. I did start to raise my voice because I was frustrated every time she offered me something that had nothing to do what I had asked her about three times. I’d like to think if you’re dealing with people in this field one of the first things they would want is effective listening skills for clients.
