Only became a patient at this GP recently after my move to Oakham. My previous GP back in Northamptonshire was absolutely abysmal. So I have to say, these guys do seem pretty on the ball. Perhaps I’m just not used to having my phone call answered in less than two hours, or being able to get a blood test booked in within 6 weeks. A big fan of their online service as well; both the telephone line and online services are available throughout the day, which is a positive change for me! I am a uni student who has lived in Oakham all my life up until a year and a bit ago; recently suffered with mental health and has been hard to get help in my uni city- temporarily registered back here and couldn't be more impressed with the level of thoughtfulness and care shown once i got an appointment.
The least helpful medical practice on the planet. Will do anything they can to pass you on to somebody else.
Nobody here knows what is going on. You have automated responses at every corner of this 'service' and then act bemused when nobody knows what's happening. Totally ridiculous.
As other patients say: impossible to get an appointment. I was told to submit a request online, which I did. Then told the doctor would call. They didn't. Requested a prescription. Told I need to request a medical appointment but won't book one when requested online. Tried again a few months later. Doctor texted saying they called by I didn't answer twice. I have no missed calls whatsoever. Called the practice. "Can't be helped". Need to call at 8:30 or go to the practice, even if don't need an ugent appointment. I don't hav... read more
